It's not so much that they're giving us cruddy product, it's that they really think we're too dumb to know the difference. They keep saying the originals aren't a big deal and they're really only a bonus feature. But that "bonus feature" is what they're leading all of their advertizing with.
I'll be getting an HD TV set eventually, so anamorphic or not will matter to me. So I'm not so sure yet whether Lucas gets my $$$ in Sept. But if this bombs and I hear "see? people didn't want the originals after all!" I will -- well I will have to write stern letters. Grrr.
